In the past week, Israeli attacks have targeted and killed aid workers with both Save the Children and the World Central Kitchen. In the deadliest year on-record for aid workers, three quarters of humanitarians killed worldwide in 2024 have been killed by Israel. Attacks on Gaza’s healthcare continue to intensify, too: on Friday, Ahmed al Kahlout, head of Kamal Adwan’s Intensive Care Unit, was killed by a drone attack. Hussam Abu Safyia, the Director of Kamal Adwan in the besieged Beit Lahiya, has pleaded for international intervention to save his hospital, staff and patients – himself having been injured in an attack early last week.
The agreement reached last Wednesday for a ceasefire in hostilities in Lebanon, already subject to breaches and violations of terms, offers no respite for Palestinians in Gaza, with little hope for securing an end to daily atrocities there. Massive airstrikes across the Strip have seen massacres in central Gaza’s Nuseirat camp, where at least 24 Palestinians were killed on Thursday, including nine members of a single family. On Friday, two airstrikes flattened residential buildings in Gaza City, killing at least 12 Palestinians, before a Saturday attack on the north Gaza Jabalia Refugee Camp killed at least 40.

Report from ICJP.
